Eli Rosenblatt spans the gap between The United States, The Caribbean and Eastern Europe with an eclectic blend of original songs and covers. He sings in English and Spanish with equal fluency and moves comfortably from one musical idiom to the next, blending two or three together when appropriate.  Rosenblatt is the founder and lead vocalist of the Seattle-based salsa band, Picoso, and his solo performance reflects his penchant for Afro-Cuban rhythms as well as his love of Eastern-European melodies culled from his Ashkenazi heritage.  Afro-Cuban rhythms, Jewish and Spanish melodies and American ingenuity all find new life when paired with the quirky lyrics and offbeat narratives that populate Rosenblatt's original songs. You will find yourself alternately tapping your feet, laughing and/or questioning the nature of reality while enjoying his music.
